The second major objective of the client was to migrate their old data which includes customer information, deal information and other vital information to be transported into the new system

Our major focus was to build an intuitive and an interactive web design for the users to navigate and purchase. An easy-to-use administrative console was also built for the administrators to enter and manage deals and their reservations. The system allowed users to purchase deals and also make reservations through the deals. We also integrated social media platforms for the users to invite their friends and become VIP members of the sytem. The major task was also to migrate the existing user base into the new system to build business continuity.

The site was launched within a period of 6 months and the company was able to see dramatic improvement in the user base and audience engagement through the new website. 20% of their effort in their deal entry system and deal search was eradicated by the use of intuitive interface and dynamic querying. The client is a local publishing house based in New York. The major challenge of the client went into consolidating customer and prospective data from multiple sources and analyzing based on certain performance indicators and campaigns. They were evaluating few solutions that could automate the process and also produce reports and analysis on the fly based on their requirement. They were also not interested in investing on industry leading business intelligence solutions with lack of IT resources and the cost associated with them.

16 Works team executed this project in two phases, the first phase was to consolidate the data from various data sources into a single format typically like a warehouse. Since the data originated from multiple data sources, a data cleanser tool was built to automate the data cleansing before it is pushed into the warehouse. Second phase was to integrate the smart analytic engine at the back end to create a multi dimensional analysis of the customer information. A self generated and intuitive presentation layer was built to analyse and generate on the fly reports. The entire solution was built using Microsoft SQL Server 2008.

The publisher was able to save close to 30% of their analysis time using this business intelligence solution. The entire process of manual transformation and consolidation was also eliminated using this automation process and saving a considerable amount of human effort and cost. The key objective of this portal is to build an online community for its listeners to engage, share and download music of specific genres like Carnatic, Classical, Instrumental and New Age. The key value addition was to provide a 360 degree view on this genre of music and a detailed insight of user behaviours.

16 Works conducted various meetings with the stakeholders of the business at different levels and build scope for this project. With the scope determined, the entire project was divided into phases, based on customer demands and priorities. The first phase was rolled out to implement a simple music shop for users to listen, share and then download. The client also wanted to build multiple layers of payment gateway system using PayPal and other payment gateways. One of the key objective of the client was to build a simple administrative interface to manage the product portfolio and payment gateway system.

After a brief requirement analysis, 16 Works team plotted a technology road map of automating various operations to reduce costs and increase efficiency. The first phase was to automate sales force using automated sales force engine. 16 Works team built a web based sales force automation tool integrated with Microsoft Dynamics. The second phase was to automate and unify data entries across multiple departments and systems. The third phase was developed in automating customer orders. Order forms were automated for quicker fulfillment of orders.

In the first 3 months of implementation, the client was able to reduce 20% of manual effort in their data entry system. Travel and logistics cost was reduced by approximately 15% in the first few months, till the end users were familiar with the system. It is expected to reduce cost to 55% in the next 8 months. Order fulfillments were more accurate that inventories were managed properly reducing a considerable amount of holding costs.
